Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog JUJU went through over the weekend. Taylor claims that a groomer taped Jujur’s mouth shut when it was bitten. This resulted in the dog looking bloody and being distressed.

Taylor told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Jujur's paws were visibly red and injured, with the toenails cut too close to the paw, which likely provoked his biting reaction."

The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.

James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. Having joined numerous other accusers of animal abuse, James accused Puppy-Lux. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.

James explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."

Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.

Puppy Lux, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, wants his customers to know animal abuse charges what the groomer said. James stated, "Jonny informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."

Fox called Puppy Lux and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Fox that they were looking into the allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
